MAG English-Russian-English Translation Services

Business, legal and personal translation work that is accurate and appropriate in tone, style and content

All translation and proof-reading work at MAG is handled by fully-qualified translators who work in their mother tongue. We never use machine translation.

That means you can rely totally on the accuracy of the translated material we produce. You can also be equally confident that the work will fit the tone and style demanded by the job application - whether that is business, legal or personal.

Effective translation at MAG begins and ends with translators who are sensitive to the subtle nuances of the English and Russian languages. Not only does this make a big difference to the reader's appreciation of your content. It also adds hugely to the image of professionalism you want to convey.

Certified, Sworn and Notarised Translations

Some business and legal translations call for formal verification of a document's accuracy. Our translators are fully qualified to provide this certification. We can also arrange for correct legal counter-signatures as required e.g. with a solicitor or Commissioner for Oaths.

Typical examples may include documents required for UK or Russian embassies, registry offices and similar organisations. Documents may include Russian or English birth certificates, school certificates, university diplomas, marriage and divorce certificates and passports, as well as manuals, manuscripts and a wide range of business and personal documentation.

Community Interpreting by Trained Professionals

MAG community interpreters help to overcome Russian language and cultural issues in communicating with community groups

MAG's Community Interpreting skills provide a vital tool in helping to overcome Russian language and cultural issues. These services are usually provided for ethnic minority families and individuals from Russia (and Russian-speakers from former Soviet countries).

Without the help of a qualified interpreter, individuals in the UK can be vulnerable and are often at a significant disadvantage when dealing with groups such as: police forces; hospitals and doctors' surgeries; Crown and Magistrate' Courts; local councils and public organisations.

Why have a trained Community Interpreter?

Community interpreters help to provide accurate representation, equal access and cultural understanding between members of ethnic communities, statutory and voluntary organisations. In various ways, they can help to redress the balance by providing effective communication between the parties concerned.

Many service providers have a duty - often statutory - to ensure that effective communication is possible with service users. This isn't always possible when interpreting is undertaken by family members, for example, who may translate a version of events that is inaccurate, unreliable or biased. In addition, clients may also be less willing to reveal confidential or sensitive information in these circumstances.

Professionally-trained and qualified community interpreters on the other hand are contractually bound to provide impartial and linguistically accurate interpreting that will observe strict confidentiality at all times. MAG community interpreters will also have sufficient knowledge of Russia and its way of life to prevent cultural misunderstandings.

It's worth pointing out that before any interview with a non-English speaking client, it is often useful to have an initial briefing with the interpreter to clarify objectives and create awareness of any relevant cultural issues.
